Upino’s financial engine runs on your device. The cloud is asked only the questions it is better at, and sees only what those questions need.
The core is on your device
Your accounts, transactions, goals and every calculation built on them live and run on your phone. Safe to Spend, protected obligations and goal projections are computed there. The numbers you see do not depend on a server being reachable, and they do not need your history to leave the device.
The cloud explains; it does not decide
Some features are better with a language model: asking a question in plain words, or hearing why something changed. For those, Upino sends a derived summary, such as “essential costs rose 6% over three months”, not the transactions behind it.
Only the context a question needs
If a question can be answered from a summary, raw transaction history is not sent. The cloud is never the source of a number you see. It only helps put the numbers into words.
What this means for you
The figures are deterministic, so you can check them. Your history is not the product. And if you never use the cloud features, nothing about your finances leaves your phone.
